After many months of reflection, prayer, tears, gratitude, and honest conversations, I have made the difficult decision to close the physical studio location of The Space.
Even as I write those words, they don't feel entirely accurate.
Because this is not an ending.
This is a transition.
This is a sacred pause.
This is the turning of a page.
As many of you know, Matt's health journey has changed our lives in ways I never could have imagined. Not having my partner beside me, not knowing exactly what the future holds, and being called to focus deeply on family, healing, and what matters most has forced me to look carefully at every part of our lives.
At the same time, our current location has presented challenges that have made it clear that this chapter is complete. I am deeply grateful for the building that sheltered us, the opportunities it provided, and every memory created within those walls. There is no blame and no bitterness—only gratitude for what was and clarity about what comes next.
For years, The Space has been evolving. What began as a yoga studio slowly became something much bigger: a sanctuary for healing, growth, community, and transformation.
Recently I have felt called to simplify, to gather resources, to focus on health and wellness, and to continue building the vision that has been quietly unfolding behind the scenes for years.
Many of you know that vision includes a deeper integration of Yoga, Ayurveda, mindfulness, healing practices, education, service, and eventually the transition toward becoming a true sanctuary and church community dedicated to personal transformation and spiritual growth.
That vision is not disappearing.
If anything, it is becoming clearer.
Effective immediately, I will be transitioning to private instruction and individualized programs from our temporary home studio. I will continue offering one-on-one sessions focused on movement, mobility, breathwork, lifestyle practices, and personalized yoga programs designed specifically for each student's needs.
As soon as circumstances allow, we will also be hanging Yoga Trapeze rigs and expanding those offerings once again.
In addition, I am beginning work on online Yoga Trapeze education and training so that students can continue learning with me regardless of location.
I will also be dedicating more of my time and energy to supporting the incredible work happening at Go With The Float. Float therapy, contrast therapy, red light therapy, and other wellness modalities have become an important part of my own life and healing journey, and I look forward to helping those programs continue to grow and serve our community.
Most importantly, I want to say thank you.
Thank you to every student who trusted me.
Thank you to every teacher who shared their wisdom.
Thank you to every person who walked through those doors searching for something more.
Thank you for every laugh, every conversation, every breakthrough, every tear, every meditation, every inversion, every class, every workshop, every retreat, every moment of connection.
The Space has never belonged to me alone.
It was built by all of us.
The lessons learned there will travel with me for the rest of my life.
So please don't think of this as a goodbye.
Think of it as a deep breath between chapters.
The mission continues.
The community continues.
The work continues.
And when the time is right, The Space will emerge again—wiser, stronger, and more aligned with its purpose than ever before.
With endless gratitude and love,
Courtney and Matt
The Sanskrit word yoga means union. The walls may be changing, but the union remains.
The Space is not closing. The Space is coming home.
